Who we are
Believe, Inspire and Become a Dancer
Candace Sheppard opened the doors to her Academy in 2016. She grew up dancing at her mothers studio and it was a second home to her. She was able to study and perform in the myriad of genres in which she loved all in one place. At her mother’s academy she met new friends, gained self confidence, strength, agility, and skill.
“I often thought, what if my mother had to drive me to five different places to dance?! What if I had to take a bus to receive training from the best ballet school and another to the best tap and jazz studio? I was grateful and lucky that her studio offered the highest professional instructors and coaches for all levels, ages, and genres. We were able to perform, engage in the community, respect our classmates, and were inspired by the opportunities we were exposed to.”
I was inspired by my own experience and wanted the same for CSDA. I am happy that now I can bring this positive experience to life and share it with students who call CSDA their second home. Our Academy is a place where dancers can truly pursue their passion while leading a balanced life. At CSDA, we look out for one another and support each student in whatever they strive to achieve.
Discipline, teamwork, confidence, self-expression, agility, and artistry are just a few of the skills dancers develop at CSDA. Our dedicated faculty nurtures each student’s unique talent, taking a personal interest in their growth.
